Snow Day!
On friday we got a snow storm with a lot of wind! It created some really neat snow dunes. We had to dig out the back door! Andrew and Nathanael (and Joseph for about 5 minutes) went out to play in it and had a ball! Here are some pictures of them enjoying all the snow. The weather cancelled two days of school (and Nathanael was sick for two, so he had a very short week!) and allowed me to go home early on Friday so all and all, it was quite fun! Enjoy the pics and thanks for reading!

Here are some busy boys at Christmas!
It has been a while since I blogged! We had a great Christmas and a nice dinner. A couple from our church came over for the supper and it went well, we had fun. It was so busy for us though that none of my cards made it out this year (sorry) and we didn't get the yearly picture of the boys done, we will though and send one to all of you! The new year has starting and it is getting busy! Jim started an evening study on sunday night. I started my craft night (that is so fun) and we start a young adults Bible study next week. I will soon be ordering the curriculum and then start the children's program so busy busy busy! We had a new baby boy born into our congregation on the 3rd. That was exciting, he is a cutie, unfortunately they are moving away :(
On tuesday I register Andrew for school. I will try to get him into french immersion, they only take 25 kids and thats it so I'll have to be a few hours early, I'm bringing a book! I'll let you know how that goes. I can't believe that Andrew will be starting school in September and that this time next year I'll be doing this again for Joseph! Where does the time go? Anyway, not much else new with us! I'll post more pictures. Thanks for reading! Posted by Picasa

Here is a picture of our little Christmas tree. I know, I still have our squash there we grew and that's a fall decoration but I didn't know what to do with them! Merry Christmas! Posted by Picasa

I know he is hard to see but if you click on the picture you can see it full size. This in Nathanael in his school play. He was one of four shepherds in the only speaking roles. He did a good job. I bought the DVD but just realized I forgot to pick it up! I guess I have to wait until after school holidays now! I hope everyone is doing well for Christmas. We are pretty much done the shopping and I am getting ready for the Christmas Eve service and Christmas day supper. Gerrard and Julia couldn't make it after all as they are moving right now so I am very disappointed and wish we had family closer by to share this occasion with but oh well! It will still be fun and not have lost any importance! I get four days off am back for three and then get three more so this will be a nice holiday for me too! Unlike BC, everything here in Nova Scotia is closed boxing day, our big shopping day is the 27th. Kind of nice to have a day to rest after all the chaos! I have to apologize for not getting my Christmas cards out in time! They are done and written on but with all that has been going on, I haven't sent them out yet! Sorry, they are coming and I have not forgotten about you all! We love and miss you all and hope you can come out and see us sometime! Anyway, I'll post more after Christmas with some pictures.

Hi Everyone. I wanted to post some pics from Nathanael and Andrew's birthday. These two pics of Andrew are the only ones we got, our camera is broken all of a sudden! It was a cheap digital camera anyway so I knew it wouldn't last! We are finally all done with the rental but still have a fair amount of boxes to unpack at our new place. I plan to get a lot done this weekend so we can start putting Christmas things up! We got a new couch last weekend, as you see by the pic it is pretty nice, the picture doesn't do it justice though. It is more of a sage green. I need to get started on Christmas cards! With all the commotion, I am running late on things and also I didn't get the boys pictures done this year! Sorry about that, but I will get it done and send everyone one, just not for Christmas like I usually do. It has been such a busy time for us right now. Christmas holidays from school are on their way and Nathanael is pretty excited about that! I hope you are all well, we are finally over our sicknesses. I'll post some pics of our new place once we are all moved in! Thanks for reading,
Harmony

Hi Everyone. It has been a while since I blogged! We have been trying to get all moved into the parsonage plus all the church stuff going on and planning all the Christmas programs and such. It is crazy busy but good to be busy! We've had a few hiccups in the move (like sewage coming up into our basement from a blocked pipe!) but over all it has gone well and we love the new place. There is so much room for active boys to play! I got together with some friends on sunday afternoon and we made some Christmas cards, with stamps and scrapbooking supplies and it was really fun. It was so fun that we decided to start a craft night at our church, whatever craft anyone is working on, scrapbooking, card making, quilting, etc. they can bring it and work on it together while visiting and having snacks! We thought it sounded like fun. We used to do that when I lived in Dawson City, Yukon, and I really enjoyed it. I'm praying that many ladies will want to come out, and can be used as a ministry, for ladies who might come and not attend a church. It will be open to everyone! I'm praying it goes well. January will busy (after busy Christmas!) as then we will start up our programs that have been waiting during the change in pastorship. We will start a children's program, youth hockey and a study that Jim will lead. Boy will we be busy! Anyway, just wanted to update you all on what we've been doing the last few weeks. I hope you are all well (I'm just getting over my cold in it's third week!) and thanks for reading.

Hello Everyone,
Well we had the vote on Sunday and we were voted in! We are very excited and looking forward to what God has in store for us. We start packing up and moving into the parsonage. Now we just need get over these bad colds so we have the energy! I only got two hours sleep last night and this cold is really lingering! Jim is on the mend and so are Joseph and Nathanael but looks like Andrew might be finally getting it now. Thank you to all who were praying for us about the church. We appreciate all your support! Thanks for Reading!

Here are the boys in their costumes. Joseph is a cowboy, Andrew is a Fireman and Nathanael is Captain Jack Sparrow the pirate. They had fun trick or treating and getting lots of treats! The last picture is our pumpkin that we grew, that Jim and the kids carved. That pumpkin weighed in at 60lbs! I also included a picture of the car we just got. It is a 1998 Mercury Sable Wagon. We really like it. It sure seems new compared to our old van. The van served us well, but I really do like this car! This sunday is the vote and actually time is going too fast! We are all sick and Jim is trying to get his sermon done for Sunday so we are praying he feels better soon. He is about 4 days into his cold, I'm in my first. Hopefully we all start to feel better by sunday! Anyway, hope you are all doing well and as usual, thanks for reading!
PS, I notice that if you click on the pictures, you can look at them at full size

Good Day,
Well, on Sunday they announced a vote. The vote will take place after the service on Sunday, Nov.5/06. We are very excited! In two weeks we'll know and might be packing for another move. It will be fun to move though, we would be moving into a much bigger place with lots of storage and a spare room for any of you who want to come visit! We are still waiting to hear from the bank for approval of a loan to get a car. We have checked out the car we are interested in, it seems to be in good condition. Someone from church happens to know the guy selling the car and talked to him and trusts him. He has allowed for us to take the car to a mechanic to look at it and okay it. It has only had one owner and was well cared for and I looked it up on MSN auto and it seems to be pretty reliable with no pattern of major problems. We are praying that the bank gets moving and we can buy this car soon. We'll need it to start moving our stuff over if we get voted in! Anyway, hope you are all well. Thanks for reading!
