Grocery Spending Challenge

I've decided to take part in this challenge being hosted by Mary over at OwlHaven. I recently purchased her book: Family Feasts for $75 a week. I love it, there are some great tips for saving money on groceries and many awesome recipes! I've made a couple of them so far and they've all been big hits! So, my goal is to spend $75 to $100 a week on groceries for the five of us (plus two cats). Of course, the closer to $75 the better! I shopped last night (and will count that towards our first week) and spent $77. Not bad so far but I know there are still one or two things I need. It will be interesting to see how this goes, I'm kind of excited! Wish me luck!

I should try something like that. I just spent your entire month's budget for groceries at Safeway last night. I cannot imagine getting by on $75/week... I won't tell you what our current monthly budget is, but you might choke on your lunch if you heard it.

Good luck, and send any tips you have my way!

Good Luck in the challenge! It's gonna be tough but here's hoping all of us challengers can do it!
